History
The story of Les Aigles du Léman started with the dream of a 24-year-old man who had the wish to create a park dedicated to birds of prey, in the face of all opposition.
Since his childhood, Jacques-Olivier TRAVERS has been passionate by this kind of birds and he finally made his dream come true in 1997. He started first with 17 birds in 9 hectares. Year after year, the park grows, diversifies and owns today one of the most beautiful collection of birds of prey.
A few dates
- November 1992 : A plan was born : create a park for animals specialized in birds of prey.
- 1994 : Choice of the site : SCIEZ
- 1996 : Construction works begin
- April 28th, 1997 : Opening of the park «Les Aigles du Léman »
- 2005 : The Cascadeurs Associés come to the park and bring the chivalry show
- 2006 : Equestrian falconry show put in place. First Christmas show in the park.
- 2007 : Launching of « Les Ailes de la Liberté » program
- 2008 : Aquatic birds arrival
- 2009 : Action play put in place : Mandrin
- 2010 : New show with shepherd dogs
- 2011 : Big development works
